Weekly Trading Update - 16-20 November 2009

After being very ill last week, I'm pleased to say I'm now back to normal again, and thankfully I've returned to the markets and made some decent profits this week. I've traded two positions altogether and both of them worked out reasonably well.

Did You Catch The Big GBP/JPY Breakout?


You may recall that a few days ago I wrote a blog post discussing why you should look out for an upcoming breakout on the GBP/JPY pair. Well today it finally did just that. Unfortunately if you are based in the US you may well have missed it because it happened early this morning (UK time), but for us British (and indeed European) traders it was an excellent trading opportunity.

The GBP/JPY Pair - Are We About To See A Big Breakout?


The GBP/JPY currency pair is usually one of the liveliest currency pairs because it can often move several hundred points in a matter of minutes. However it's interesting to note that it's basically been trading sideways for the last four weeks or so.

Weekly Trading Update - 09-13 2009

I haven't opened any positions this week because I've been suffering from sickness and diarrhoea for most of the week. As a result I've either been resting in bed or slouching out in front of the TV watching old episodes of The Sweeney from my DVD collection. I haven't spent much time in front of the computer at all.


I thought I was starting to get better yesterday but I seem to have got worse again today. It must be either food poisoning or a simple stomach infection. Either way I'm hoping it goes away by itself in the next few days otherwise I shall have to see a doctor on Monday.

Anyway I apologise if you've emailed me or left any comments on the blog, but I've only had chance to respond to a few of them this week.
